Peter Kenyon - Your Labour Candidate
My wife and I have lived as tenants in the City for over four years. I have been a Labour Party member and trade unionist for over 30 years. Unusually, I also have experience of business and community action. My public service includes being chair of an NHS Trust, and a local authority councillor for eight years. I’ve been a school governor, founder chair of a development trust in Finsbury Park, and now I am trustee of one in Dalston and a parochial charity in north London. In the private sector, I’m director of a renewable energy company. Basically, getting things done is what I’m about.
We are proud of our traditional Labour values. They have given us free healthcare, major improvements to education and pensions, and now herald universal childcare. These gains were achieved through open and accountable government. That’s what the City needs now.
That’s why I am seeking your support to make a difference as a member of Labour’s team in the City, working for you. If elected, I look forward to working with your other representatives as part of a strong Portsoken ward team.
